Among the many grim details of Paul Walker’s crash, the autopsy revealed fractures in the left jawbone, collarbone, pelvis, ribs, and spine. The car was traveling at more than 100 mph when the crash occurred. The Los Angeles County coroner released a 15-page report on the crash. The report stated that both men died at the scene of the accident.
The autopsy revealed scant soot in the trachea, as well as fractures in the left jawbone, collarbone, and pelvis. The left transverse fracture of the first rib was found, but was not detected on the chest radiograph.
A three-dimensional reconstructed neck CT was performed on the victim to confirm the fracture. It showed a 1.5 cm rim-enhancing mass.
The patient was a 42-year-old male with diabetes. He presented with perioral tingling, a five-minute episode of aphasia, and a differential diagnosis of a transient ischemic attack.
