During the month of October we saw a series of pyrotechnic explosions throughout the region. We also saw a fire at Bejis, and a fire at Val d’Ebo. We will see whether or not the fires will spread to other areas in Valencia.
Bejis fire
Hundreds of firefighters have been fighting two large wildfires in Valencia, Spain. The two fires started on Saturday and have burned more than 13,000 hectares of forest. They are burning in the Marina Alta, Serra da Estrela and Vall d’Ebo areas.
The wildfires have forced hundreds of residents to evacuate. They are currently confined to their homes, but the Valencia Emergency Service said more evacuations could occur.
An electrical storm started the fire late on Saturday. The fire has now burned more than 11,000 hectares of forest in the area and will probably continue to burn. There are nine forest firefighting units working in the area, as well as a military emergency unit.
The Bejis fire has reached the town of Altura, which is located close to the Sierra Calderona national park. Firefighters were forced to fight the blaze in difficult-to-access gullies. They said they hoped later rain would help stabilise the fire.
The Bejis fire is still burning. The fire has forced the evacuation of 2,000 people from the town of Bejis and neighboring towns in Castellon. The region has been hit by several fires this year.
Val d’Ebo fire
Hundreds of firefighters have battled to contain a huge fire in eastern Spain. The fire began after lightning struck the area late on Saturday night. The fire has been whipped by strong winds, and has spread quickly. The blaze is the biggest in the Alicante Province in more than a decade. The fire has destroyed almost 15,000 hectares (30,000 acres) of forest and land.
The blaze has forced the evacuation of over 1,000 people. At least two roads have been closed in the area. Firefighters have also been fighting two other forest fires in the region.
The Aragon government hopes to control the fire. The blaze has destroyed 6,000 hectares of land and forced the evacuation of eight villages. The blaze has also caused some damage to homes.
The Valencia region has also been hit by two fires. One fire has been burning since the summer. Another fire has been burning since last month. The region has suffered two major fires in the last ten years.
La Desperta fire
Taking place over five days, the Fallas Festival in Valencia, Spain is a celebration of fire and light. It’s a huge pyrotechnic display that marks the start of spring. It’s one of the most spectacular festivals in the world.
The main event takes place on March 19 and features a huge firework display in Paseo de la Alameda. The night is also accompanied by a ceremony and demonstration of devotion to the Virgin of the Forsaken, Valencia’s patron saint. The fallas, the sculptures, take more than two years to assemble and cost millions of euros to create.
Besides the fireworks and the bonfires, the most important thing about the Fallas is its significance to the people of Valencia. The festival is so big that it almost doubles the city’s population. Thousands of “Falleras” wear traditional costumes and march into the city center for the festivities.
The best way to experience the Fallas is to attend the festival during Fallera Week. This is the best time to catch the most important events, including the ceremonial opening of the festival, the parades, and the fireworks.
Pyrotechnic explosions
Among all the events that take place during the Las Fallas festival in Valencia, there is one that is particularly interesting to visitors. This is the Corda, which is a celebration of the local tradition of gunpowder. This particular event is one of the most recent additions to the Fallas festival, and takes place inside a 600 square metre metal cage.
The event is attended by families and is a great way to spend time together. It is one of the largest pyrotechnic displays in the world.
The event takes place at Puente de las Flores. At midnight, the fallas are set ablaze. This is followed by a barrage of firecracker explosions. The fireworks are meant to be a cleansing activity, and are said to relieve the burden of previous events.
La Mascleta is another pyrotechnic display that takes place in Valencia. The display consists of thousands of firecrackers being fired in a cohetodromo. These are ignited by professional pyrotechnicians. The pyrotechnics are hung on lines seven feet above the ground and are interconnected by a quick fuse.
