Until very recently, Elisabete De Sousa-Amos, the first wife of famed gospel singer John Amos, was a very popular singer. But now, according to reports, she is no longer seen on the music scene. The question is, what happened to her?
Noel J. Mickelson
During the 1960’s, when marriages between blacks and whites were illegal in 16 American states, John Amos met his first wife, Noel J. Mickelson. They married in 1965. After they were married for a year, they separated. The couple had two children.
Before they were married, they had a love-hate relationship. They started dating in 1961. However, their relationship didn’t last. They split up in 1975. The divorce was finalized in 1979. The couple married again in 1982. They produced two more kids.
After their marriage, they lived in Tewksbury Township, New Jersey. They kept their family out of the spotlight.
While attending Colorado State University, they had a budding romance. In 1970, Amos started pursuing an acting career. He had a role in The Tim Conway Comedy Hour. He also played in a few films. He also appeared on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Amos has appeared in several blockbuster movies. He has received numerous nominations and awards. He was also inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2020. He is also an Honorary Master Chief of the United States Coast Guard.

Among the many things Shannon Amos has done is to become a writer, producer, director, and the founder of Afterglow Multimedia, LLC. The company produces national television commercials for clients such as Nike, Gap, BET, and Lincoln Mercury. In addition, she founded the Sumanah Soul Sanctuary Retreats.
Having been exposed to Hollywood at an early age, she worked on many popular sitcoms. She then became an intern working for director Spike Lee. She has since executive produced many Academy Award winning films. She has also found a passion for wellness and the healing arts.
When she was eight years old, Shannon Amos was threatened by a racist while on a family trip. Her father took her to meetings with agents to learn about the business side of Hollywood.

Kelly Christopher Amos
Known as KC Amos, Kelly Christopher Amos is a well-respected director, actor, and writer. He has been nominated for two Grammy Awards for Best Music Video. He has directed two films, Syphon Gun (1995) and Tamales and Gumbo (2015). He is also a writer and producer.
When he was four years old, he started watching his father on TV in various roles. He had a close connection with his dad. After that, he followed him to movie sets. He has often admitted to admiring his father. He has written a short film called “Syphon Guns” in 1995. He also received a Sundance Film Fest award for Best Short Film.
The Watermelon Heist (2003), the first film produced by the family, is set for a summer release. The sequel, Coming 2 America, will be released on December 31, 2020. In a 2015 interview, Amos spoke about his journey to Good Times.
Amos is a veteran actor who has been in the industry for over 50 years. He has worked in many well-known movies and shows. He has been inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
