Whether you like him or not, Dwayne Michael Turner has been a fixture in the world of show business for over a decade. He is best known for his work in WWE, as a wrestler, but also for his acting. He has had roles in several movies, including the ‘Guerrilla Warfare’ series and ‘The Suspicion’. He is now set to star in his own series, ‘Dwayne Michael Turner: The Last Stand’, which will be released later this year.
‘Guerrilla Warfare’
‘Guerrilla Warfare’ by Dwayne Michael Turner was a very good rap album, but what was it really all about? Here are a few facts about the record.
The ‘Guerrilla Warfare’ album was released in 1999. The first single from the album, “Bling Bling” was a huge hit, and the album went platinum. The song also was the biggest chart hit of the year.
While the “Tha Block is Hot” is a very good 70-minute album, it didn’t hurt sales as much as the other records in the aforementioned ‘list of’. The RIAA gave the album the standard “parental advisory” warning for lack of cursing, but the record still did well, especially for a rap album.
The ‘Hot Boys’ group was made up of three members: Lil Wayne, Turk and Juvenile. The group formed in 1997 and became famous after the release of their debut ‘Get It How You Live’ album.
‘Suspicious package’
During the biggest crime wave in Los Angeles history, Michael Turner escaped notice. He moved around from skid row missions to his mother’s apartment. In all, he committed 11 killings over 11 years. He has not been charged with any of the other murders.
The crimes took place in apartments along a notorious drug corridor. The bodies of ten women, ranging in age from 21 to 45, were strangled. Some had cocaine in their systems.
Police initially believed there were other serial killers in the area. But then, Turner submitted a DNA sample in 2002 as part of a no-contest plea. That sample proved to be incriminating.
During the investigation of the Paula Vance case, detectives uncovered evidence linking Chester Turner to at least two other murders. That led them to begin testing 100 unsolved murders in the area.
Using the latest in DNA technology, LAPD detectives re-evaluated available evidence. They tested 35 unsolved homicides in the Figueroa corridor.
Feud with Drake and Nicki Minaj
During their time together on the Young Money label, Drake and Nicki were close friends. However, their relationship was broken after Meek Mill got involved. It wasn’t until a few years later that they re-connected.
It’s been a while since they were friends and haven’t been on good terms. Meek Mill took shots at Drake and the two artists have since released a series of diss tracks.
Meek also made disparaging accusations against Drake, claiming that he didn’t write his own lyrics and that Drake uses ghostwriters. Luckily, Drake came out on top. He responded with his own two diss tracks, “Charged Up” and “Wanna Know,” which featured Meek in the chorus.
After Meek and Minaj parted ways, they re-connected. They performed together during the Young Money reunion tour. They even shared a video of them together backstage. They were also photographed together on Christmas Day. Interestingly, they weren’t on good terms until after they broke up.
