One of the most famous personalities in the media world, Margaret Brennan, has recently announced that she is pregnant. The announcement was made on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. This news caught the attention of a large crowd and received a lot of positive comments.
Previously, she was a foreign affairs correspondent for CBS News. She was also the moderator of the program Face the Nation. Currently, she is a nephrologist at Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. In addition to her work, she is also a board member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Smurfit School of Business.
Before her career as a journalist, Brennan studied at the University of Virginia and Yarmouk University in Jordan. She received her bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs. In 2002, she graduated with highest distinction. As a journalist, she has reported on national security, international relations, and foreign policy. Her interviews include Vice President Mike Pence.
Yakub, on the other hand, is a Marine veteran who has a law degree from the University of Miami. He holds a Florida legal license. After earning his law degree, he became a Marine Corps judge advocate. He also served as a Senior Strategic Advisor for SAS.
The two of them met during their undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia. They had a brief courtship. During that time, Yakub was a senior while Brennan was a freshman. At the time, they were both studying Arabic.
When Yakub moved to Washington, D.C., he and Brennan did not get to see each other very often. However, they kept in touch via text messages and emails.
After a few years, Yakub and Brennan were able to meet up again. They reconnected through Facebook. They met for dinner in Washington, D.C., and began dating in June 2013. Although they did not move in the same circle, they admit they would never have dated in college.
Currently, they are married and are expecting their first child. The baby will be named Eamon Brennan Yakub.
